About Us
Our Veterinarians
Dr Org Venter qualified from Onderstepoort in 1978, and started at Walmer Vet in the same year as an assistant, he then went on to buy the practice in 1982. Apart from general veterinary science, he does most of our advanced surgery, and has a specific affinity for eye problems and eye surgery.
Dr Stephan Ferreira qualified in 1983 and joined Walmer Vet in 1993. He enjoys all aspects of practice, especially the interaction with clients. His special interest is small animal reproduction.
Dr Mark Pellissier qualified in 1997, and started at Walmer Vet in 2013. Apart from small animal duties, he also has a special interest in exotic animals. He is married to Karin and they have two children. He enjoys the outdoors and hiking.
Dr Anmarie Kamfer qualified in 1994, and joined Walmer Vet immediately after completing her studies. She does general small animal practice, with a specific affinity for birds.
Our Nursing Staff
Sr Cheri Roper qualified in 1998 and has been our veterinary nurse since 2007. She is in charge of all things hospital and theatre related.
Our Receptionists
We are proud that Maureen and Cathy have been the face of our practice for many years. They were joined recently by Lizl and Bettina. They are well qualified to assist and advise you with regards to nutrition, accessories and over the counter health products.
